A Typical Day at A New Day

7:00 - 9:00 a.m.

Arrival, Continental breakfast, Current events

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Exercise, Small group activities
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Music, Games
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Crafts, Self-directed activities, Presentation of an educational topic
11:00 - 12:00 p.m. Small group activities, Meal preparation
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch and clean-up
1:00 -1:30 p.m. Quiet time, Movie, Gardening, Self-directed activity
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Large group activities including parties, Intergenerational activities, Speaker, Cooking
2:30 -3:00 p.m. Snack, Reminiscencing
3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Crafts, Games, Self-directed activities
4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Departure

Participants also go on occasional outings to lunch, museums, or festivals.

Community BINGO is held the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month and and participants are encouraged to take part.

  • Coffee and Current Events

  • “The Price is Right”

  • Dominoes

  • Skipbo

  • Pet Therapy with “Maggie” and “Sargent”

  • Once a month Intergenerational activities with Garrett-Keyser-Butler Head Start preschool class

  • Singing

  • Cooking Class

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Movies and Popcorn
